RareLister.com Prohibited Items Policy

This policy lists all item categories that cannot be listed, sold, or offered on RareLister.com (“RareLister”). It complements the Terms & Conditions and applies to all Sellers.

RareLister may remove prohibited listings at any time, suspend accounts, or withhold funds.

1. Illegal, Stolen, or Restricted Goods

The following are strictly prohibited:

  • Stolen items or items without proof of ownership.
  • Items obtained through illegal means.
  • Items restricted under EU, US, UN, or international law.
  • Goods violating international sanctions (OFAC, EU Sanctions, UN embargoes).
  • Items requiring government permits not provided by the Seller.

2. Counterfeit, Fake, or Fraudulent Items

Forbidden categories include:

  • Counterfeit designer products.
  • Fake luxury watches or jewelry.
  • Imitation gemstones sold as natural without disclosure.
  • Lab-grown diamonds sold as natural without full transparency.
  • Natural diamonds advertised as lab-grown.
  • Items with falsified certificates (GIA, IGI, HRD, etc.).
  • Tampered serial numbers or removed identifiers.

Sellers must disclose treatments, enhancements, and certification details.

3. Items Without Proper Certification (When Legally Required)

Prohibited:

  • High-value gemstones without certifications when required by local law.
  • Investment gold requiring purity documentation without providing it.
  • Precious metals lacking hallmarks, stamps, or legal identification.

4. Hazardous, Dangerous, or Restricted Materials

Not allowed:

  • Radioactive or chemical materials.
  • Explosives, weapons, ammunition.
  • Pyrotechnics or flammable materials.
  • Toxic substances (mercury, cyanide, etc.).
  • Asbestos or contaminated materials.

5. Culturally Protected or Looted Items

Forbidden categories:

  • Archaeological artifacts without provenance.
  • Looted antiquities.
  • Cultural heritage items restricted by UNESCO guidelines.
  • Fossils or minerals harvested illegally.

6. Medical, Biological, or Human-Related Items

Not permitted:

  • Medical equipment requiring licenses.
  • Prescription drugs and supplements.
  • Human organs, remains, or biological materials.

7. Watches, Jewelry & Collectibles with Red Flags

RareLister prohibits:

  • Watches with scratched-off, altered, or missing serial numbers.
  • Jewelry with unreported repairs or structural weaknesses.
  • Items with replaced core components (movement, dial) without disclosure.
  • Stones with undisclosed treatments.

8. Duplicates, Unauthorized Replicas, or Infringing Items

Prohibited:

  • Replicas of branded goods.
  • Items violating intellectual property rights.
  • Images, descriptions, or text copied from other marketplaces.
  • Unauthorized reproductions of artwork.

9. Dangerous or Defective Consumer Goods

Items posing health or safety risks cannot be sold:

  • Recalled goods.
  • Damaged electronics.
  • Items missing critical components.

10. Other Prohibited Categories

  • Items promoting violence or hate.
  • Adult content.
  • Gambling devices.
  • Any item RareLister deems unsafe or inappropriate.

RareLister reserves full discretion to expand or modify this policy.

11. Penalties for Violations

Violations may result in:

  • Listing removal.
  • Account suspension or permanent ban.
  • Fund withholding during investigations.
  • Reporting to law enforcement when applicable.
